Our story
Platestory began with Nazreen, age 8, in a kitchen learning what made a cake worth eating. She kept baking through school, through travel across three continents, through her bachelor's. By 2014, back in India, she was baking for friends often enough that "often" turned into a side business. By 2017, it was Platestory.

Vamsi Bhogi

Built Real Tycoon (a marketing agency where Nazreen also worked). Exited Real Tycoon in 2020, spent the next years across healthtech and early-stage investing. Joined hands with Nazreen full-time on Platestory to build the systems, the tech, the way you find us online.
Through those years Nazreen also worked at Real Tycoon, a marketing agency Vamsi was building. Both of them exited Real Tycoon in 2020. Vamsi spent the next few years across healthtech and early-stage investing. Nazreen kept the Platestory kitchen running on weekends and the occasions that mattered.
In 2023, Nazreen went full-time on Platestory. Vamsi joined to build the systems, the tech, the way you find us online. In 2025, the second kitchen opened in Hyderabad's Hafeezpet.
Today: two kitchens, two co-founders, 6,200+ cakes delivered, one number to call.

Our promises
Every cake gets the time it needs to be worth the moment. When the month's slots are full, we close the books and reopen the next month. Your Saturday cake actually arrives Saturday morning, not 'around the weekend'.
The butter, chocolate, flour, fruit, and cream in your cake are the same things you would buy if you were baking it yourself. No mixes, no substitutes that 'look the same'.
Through our partner network: anywhere within 150 km of Anna Nagar (Chennai) or Hafeezpet (Hyderabad). Outside that radius, we say so upfront instead of accepting an order we cannot keep.
Eggless is not a substitution. It is its own recipe set, baked in its own session on its own surface. No cross-contact, no shortcuts. Same flavours, same quality bar.
We do not stock frozen sponges. We do not have a 'ready cake' shelf. Sponges cool overnight, buttercream is made the morning of, the cake leaves the kitchen the same day it reaches you.
