How much does a dad's birthday cake cost in Chennai?
Our pricing follows a transparent formula based on size, flavour, and design complexity. See our pricing page for the full breakdown. We share the exact quote on the callback after we lock the design.
How many days in advance should I order a dad's birthday cake?
As early as you can. We cap orders at 300 cakes per month so we can give each one our full attention, and popular weekends fill out fastest. Festival weeks book out 2-3 weeks ahead.
Is 1 kg enough for 20 people?
1 kg comfortably serves 10-12 people. For 20 guests we usually recommend 2 kg, or 1.5 kg if the cake is one of several desserts.
Do you deliver across Chennai?
Yes. Our delivery partners cover a wide radius, up to 150 km from our kitchen. Same-day across central Chennai for orders placed before 11am; next-day everywhere else within the radius.
Are eggless options available?
Yes, on request. We make eggless cakes on a separate line out of respect for tradition. Pure-vegan (dairy-free) needs 24 hours of extra notice.
Can I see a draft of the design before I pay?
Yes. Once you share your brief on WhatsApp, a cake artist sketches one or two directions within 24 hours. You approve, then we ask for payment. No payment before design lock.

I ordered a 3 tier cake for my baby’s 1st birthday. I’ve always wanted a little magic element on the cake and while I was searching I came across Platestory. I did not know anything about their taste and I did not even read a review I just went with my instinct. I was sure on what flavour I wanted and I placed the order.
